Still buddies.
I finally put together the crib for Isaac and you can see that Samuel is more than intrigued by it.
Can you resist those sweet bunners? I can't!

Dog gone Tired
It really is funny the places you find your kids, especially when they've decided they are tired! Now that Sam is sleeping in a big boy bed we leave his door open at night so that he can come and get us if he needs to. One morning he came into our room and started playing, then there was silence, and when their is silence with a toddler you know that can't be good. I sat up in bed and couldn't see my little Sam's head bobbing around the room; this is where I found him.
I guess Gus' house is a great place to rest and play when you are only 22 months. In the mean time I have discovered that Isaac loves his tummy time on the floor. He likes it so much he feels comfortable enough to just fall fast asleep.
It is hard to imagine but even Sam can revert back to his baby stage days when he is exhausted enough...out like a light!

Sick of Winter
Okay, Christmas has come and gone and New Years has passed as well; I'M SICK OF WINTER WEATHER!!! After having a second baby, the boys and I could really use some fresh air, and I'm dying to lose my weight! Sam has hit the terrible twos now because I feel myself wanting to pull my hair out the past couple of days. Between making sure he is sitting on the couch and not standing on it, him trying to push the lamps of the side tables, being mean to the animals, and running (to close for my comfort) next to his brother while Isaac is having "tummy time" I am in need of a time out! I really look forward to 8:30 when Samuel heads to bed because Isaac is normally on his way to dream land as well....and finally....quiet. Ahhhh. I can enjoy a heaping ;-) bowl of ice cream in peace and watch TV or read my book. However, no matter how grumpy I might get by the time 8:30 rolls around, one of Sam's "Da Da shoe" phrases makes me smile. Naughty or nice I love my boys so much. Their cute little cheeks and precious eyes make up for everything. I think Sam is trying to say, "look out mom for the roller coaster ride of a lifetime!" Good thing I'm a thriller.

4 Weeks Flew
Sunday morning just hanging out with the boys:
Sam just can't get enough of his little brother:
Four weeks have already gone by and my littlest man keeps on adding weight and filling out in the face. I forgot how wonderful it feels to have a newborn's soft skin against my cheek. It is completely addictive! Isaac is now making attempts at cooing which is exciting to know that he is trying to communicate with us. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon and it will be sad because he is getting a shot; the world is so hard and unfair when pain is brought to you and you have no idea why. So sad. Check out his long piggies!
Meanwhile Samuel keeps playing with "Dada's shoes" and has explored to mine. I'm not worried yet that he likes my shiny gold heals, watching him walk around the house in them is most entertaining at this moment. He also loves looking at his picture books that he got for Christmas. I'm amazed that he can point out correctly at least 80% of the pictures in the book, if you ask him where something is. His big boy bed has also helped us with the reading process. He no longer tries to turn the pages before we are done. Samuel just lays down nicely and listens as we read. I'm particularly happy about this because I can get through a whole Dr. Seuss book without interruption. Thank you big boy bed!
