Firework Spectacular

Okay I know it has been a while since I've last posted, but now we are all moved into our new house and are finally starting to feel organized. There are still lots of projects to take care of, but we can handle those one at a time now that the main meat and potatoes are taken care of.

For the 4th of July my parents came over to help put in our glass block window in the bathroom, and my mom helped me clear out our laundry room, mud room and the garage. With walking room through those areas I feel much better. We grilled some pork tenderloin and had cheesy potatoes, salad, rolls, and chocolate cake for dinner. It was mighty tasty after 5-6 hours of work.

Afterwards we headed out to Corporate Woods Firework Spectacular show. We met up with Joel's parents to watch the show. Sam had fun people watching and we all enjoyed a Gelati. He also thought that his glow in the dark bracelet was pretty cool.

I thought for sure that Isaac would be the one bawling because of the noise, but it was the opposite. Sam was very concerned with the loud booms. He put his hands up to his mouth and was shaking his head no, not to mention begging to go bye bye, bye bye, bye bye. It didn't take long for him to realize that the noise wasn't going to hurt him and he was quick to whoop with the rest of the people when there were pretty fireworks.

Isaac gazed up at the sky ever so cute until he couldn't hold his head up any longer.

The next time I looked over at him he was fast asleep on Grandma Kellen. It was a long day for us all. At the end of the show it was time to head back to the car. We thought we remembered where we parked, but instead we wandered around carrying 2 kids and all our crap for an HOUR before a man also walking around lost with his wife and child, stopped to point us in the right direction. After that mess and my mood being altered by the end of it, I came home and ate a big piece of chocolate cake.....amazingly that helped my mood a lot. I could now go to bed happy.

Wow, those firework pictures turned out really good! And, of course, chocolate fixes everything!

Those firework pictures were really good. You could really see the different colors. I can't imagine how frustrating it was to not be able to find your car! :0)
